Although Copmanthorpe does not have a station at this time the East Coast Main Line runs through the village and it is a hope of many that a station will soon be built in the village.  This could give direct train services to important towns and cities such as York, Leeds, Scarborough and Hull.  With a little vision cities like Manchester, Newcastle and even London and Edinburgh could be added to that list.
