Bus Links

There are two major bus services in Copmanthorpe.  Both of these provided fast and frequent services throughout the day, with a less intense service in the evening.

First York operate the Number 13 route from the centre of the Village to the centre of York.  The journey time from Main Street to York railway station is around 18 minutes with Stonebow being reached 7 mintues later.

Yorkshire Coastliner run a long distance service from Leeds to the East Yorkshire coast.  This provides Copmanthorpe with a fast service to Leeds, Tadcaster (change here for Boston Spa, Wetherby and Harrogate) York, Malton and the resorts of Whitby, Scarborough, Filey and Bridlington.  The service can be caught from stops on Top Lane, Hallcroft Lane and Manor Heath.

In recent years the price of a First Day (Day Rover) ticket has been the smae price as a Copmanthorpe to York return. This Changed when the price of a First Day went up to £3 the Copmanthorpe to York Return stayed at £2.50! So don't ask for a Day Rover if you only want to go into York on a Number 13.
